Sonic Colors [Fan Game] Starlight Carnival HD!

Feels like its been forever since I actually uploaded a new stage, eh? This time I'm showing off Starlight Carnival. To be honest, I thought Starlight Carnival was going to be my favorite stage in Colors but its actually pretty on rails and bland in my opinion. I took no effort in fixing this problem in my version as its still on-rails and bland XD About half way through I became too busy to work on the game and took a break so I had no idea what my plans for the level where.

Is that a bird? A plane? a six foot taco??? NO! its:
Whats New:
1)Theres now a save feature! (which means the hardest part of the game is finished! Just gets easier from here on out lol
2)Sonic can use the "air pound" move
3)The World Map has been edited to show the options satellite, Act selection, total play time.
4)The game now keeps track of your best score, and time on each stage! Also every time you break a record the game will take a screen shot of the results and save it on your desktop. So you get 2 pics, 1 for best time and 1 for high score for each act. You can turn the snapshot off in the options satellite.
5) The ranking system is complete! (finally!)

Looks good for a fan game, someone should do a rom hack of sonic 3 or sonic 2 and make it like sonic colours, i enjoyed watching this and i'm sure it took alot of effort but i think i prefere the DS sonic colours. This is still OUTSTANDING, AMAZING!!! though. Nice CUBE wisp!!

@ThatMellon lol thank, man. lol I'm not trying to convert anyone from the DS version to my version. It's all a matter of preference, no one says you can't like both :). To be honest though I'd have to be crazy to try and compete with a game that had years of testing, coding, and a full team with a budget. I'm just humbled that you'd compare my little fan game with the official Colors DS.

You have a nice engine. you should have someone else do the visuals and stuff. Not that yours are super shitty or anything but this could get big. Particle systems, graphical interface, etc.

@blaque7 I'm not against getting help with this project but at the same time, it's not something I WANT to do...if that makes sense? I was looking for help with cutscenes and I had a bunch of people say they were more than happy to help, but it's been 2-3 months and none of them have responded after that. I don't want to be in a position where I get an artist to work on a stage and then they just stop responding. I really don't feel like hounding people down for a fan game, ya know?

I'd advise to stick with the sprite style you change the effects into sprite animations, it'll look a lot cleaner. Either way nice engine you've got going. To what I understand you use gamemaker? I used to use it, it helped me learn a lot before moving into the bigger languages :)
