It's coming back for the third and final time! The hit of last summer, Zimsculpt, an exhibit of stone sculpture from Zimbabwe, returns to the Garden August 12 through September 26, 2011. Once again, Vancouver's VanDusen Botanical Garden will be the only North American stop on a world tour that also included the Chelsea Garden Show earlier this year.
Accompanied by Curator, Vivienne Croissette along with Zimbabwean sculptors, Passmore Mupindiko and Patrick Sephani, the exhibit will see nearly 300 pieces of stone sculpture by several different artists strikingly arranged throughout the Garden. Anyone who saw the 2009/10 show will remember the engaging Mr. Mupindiko and Mr. Sephani - both will again be sculpting on site with stone shipped from Zimbabwe.
Thankyou!!!! W O W

I'm off to photograph the new exhibit as soon as I post this. Come and enjoy the sculptures and the Garden. They complement each other to an amazing degree since the pieces are chosen specifically for this setting.
