MARS: snail and turtle-like shells

Shiny-surfaced objects resembling a snail and an upside down turtle shell appear on top of layered bedrock in Gusev Crater, Mars.

Patterns on these objects appear to separate themselves from the surrounding rocks. This examination reveals the images taken from the right and the left views of the Spirit rover cameras.
