  • Ya I got picked for a daedalion scholarship flight award and it pays for 10 free hours of flight time I'm so excited this is where I'll be flying

  • Thank you so much for uploading this video. It has been very helpful for my chairflying. I've been taught that the perfect altitude when you turn to final at KOUN is 1700 ft. Were you soloing or was there someone filming you?

  • hand6 coming in hot!!

  • Well standard single engine pattern altitude is about 1000 AGL. It is 2200 above sea level at Westheimer because the field elevation is 1182 above sea level.

  • whats the pattern altitude AGL?

  • Maybe it's just me. lol Yeah...I've taken a couple of lessons, but am going to wait until I go to OU to get the rest of my flying done.

  • Hmm.. it might have something to do with the pattern altitude or the way we are taught but, to me at least, that seemed like a pretty good, stabilized approach. You fly?

  • i noticed in a lot of these landing at westhiemer that the approach looks quite high to me...is that normal?

  • whoops...nm ...didn't watch to the end! nice flight!!

  • is that one of the glass cockpit models?
