Chapter One;; Sick & Tired

Today is probably the saddest day of my life. I have been walking around looking at my feet and fighting tears. I feel as though there is a rain cloud hovering over me, following my every move. And it's all his fault.
He looks at me as I walk past his locker. I try not to look at him; if I do I'll cry.
I pick up my blue plastic tray that holds my lunch and start walking through the cafeteria. All of the tables are filled with the preppy high-schoolers that go here. They stare at me as I was past; they must be talking about me. I can hear my name being said. News travels like AIDS in CPH.
I slide my tray onto a table and sit down, resting my head in my hands.
"Oh sweetie cheer up. He's not worth it," my best friend Morgan Ross comforts me.
"Morgan, you don't understand. You probably never will." I sigh, forking some fruit salad.
"You don't I've been dumped before?" she runs her fingers through her blonde/streaked hair and eats a french fry.
"Dumped? Thanks Morgan that helps,"
"Sorry, sorry."
"It's not being dumped that bothers me. It's that he broke my heart."
"Aw. Poor baby."
I roll my eyes at her and look around the cafeteria. The students have stopped staring at me, but are still whispering. My eyes drift to the table in the middle of the cafe, where the "in crowd" sits. Lounging there are Jyllian Jameson, Spencer Maxwell, Justin Samuels, and... Ryan Gerard. He is so cute. He has lucious black hair, snakebites, blue eyes, and sometimes wears these cute Dior glasses. I love him.
"Are you still looking at Ryan?" Trinity O'Connor sits down with us. I look at her.
"No..." I lie.
"Mhmm." Morgan smiles.
"You still in love with him?" Trinity asks.
"I am not and never was in love with him!"
"Hann, we've known you for 7 years. We know when you like someone!" Morgan argues.
"Whatever." My eyes float back over to him. He has his arm around Jyllian, his girlfriend. She's the only thing standing in the way of us. That bitch.
Ryan and Jyllian exchange a kiss and I can feel my head getting hot.
"Look at her! She's so jealous!" Morgan laughs.
"Leave me alone! I have to go to class." I stand up.
"But we have like 10 minutes left," Trinity said, looking at her watch.
"I'll walk slow." I throw my lunch away and pick up my bag.
"Bye Hannah." Morgan waves.
"Peace, noob." I leave the lunch room. As I walk down the cold hallway of CPH, I continue to look at my feet as that same raincloud follows me. I push open the door to the girls bathroom and go into a stall; locking the door. I set the top down on the toilet and sit down. I put my head in my hands and bite my lip as I cry. How could he do something like that to me? Break my heart like that? I was always faithful to him, and then out of the blue, he doesn't want to be with me anymore?
I take my charm bracelet off of my wrist and position the sharp edge of the star charm on the skin of my left wrist. So begins the pain...
I walk to class about 7 minutes later and pull the door open. I sit in the back and lay my head on the desk. More and more people start to flood in, taking seats away from me. I am the only one sitting in the back now. I feel as though I'm going to cry again when he sits next me.
