@frankkalani There are enough lefties in fencing, even at just the college level, to where that's not an excuse. Both of them are just as capable of fencing against a lefty or a righty. At this level, that's not the reason she won by any stretch of the imagination.
I think she has an advantage for being lefthanded. Shes used to fencing against orthodox fencers so shes used to how they fence where as the orthodox fencers dont usually fence lefties so its odd and different to them. The saber or whatever being on the same side is a lot different than it being on the opposite side coming. at you.
The same applies for boxing. And look at how all the southpaws have rose to the top recently.
