  • Actually, if you had an older road bike with plenty of clearance, you really could just put on some 'cross tires and be good.

  • No. Firstly you can't put larger tyres on a road bike. Secondly brakes are different and won't go on a road bike either. Thirdly the bike has a different geometry. The only thing that's realy goint to be the same is the saddle.

  • I want a cyclocross bike... :(

    Do really need to jsut convert a road bike with off road tires and that's it?
