Breath of Life - Adolescent Asthma Action Program

Adolescent Asthma Action Program - Triple A - is an award winning, internationally acclaimed peer education program that improves asthma self-management in young people and creates a supportive school environment for asthma.
Triple A Educators, usually trained university students or asthma educators conduct a workshop for senior high school students (Asthma Peer Leaders) about asthma and its management. The Asthma Peer Leaders then educate their younger peers about asthma, who in turn disseminate the asthma messages to the broader school community. Triple A is based on empowerment education and Social Learning Theory and uses a variety of strategies including videos, games, role-plays and quiz shows to make the program informative and fun.
