This is Maceo's interpretation of Sleepy John Estes song. Whether it's Big Maceo, Muddy Waters, or Bob Dylan performing (even adding their own text to it) , I stiil think it's important not to overlook it's origins. Sleepy John Estes has been eclipsed for too long. He was one of the most prolific blues composers that inspired generations to cover his music, including this cover of Merriweather's cover.

@0Reilly08 You honor Sleepy John Estes by your recognition...I've always liked the
twist Maceo brought to the song...but its true origins are certainly not to be ignored...
Take it easy :-)

My friend, you have made my elbows sweat, and that is hard to do, but the skill, the feeling, and the style combined with heartfelt vocals, made my evening. I have been playing many of the blues songs you have posted, with my own touch, but your style is impeccably done due to the realness of them to you!
R U self taught? Do you have any recordings coming out, or are they already there, and I just am missing them?
Keep posting, I have subscribed, and will be "borrowing" from your riffs

@camshot2 Wow...Willie, I am flattered by your compliments...
I am self-taught as far as the gutar is concerned, yes...but I was kind of born
with the Blues and the Gospel (favorite music of my parents) so the gods smiled
on me from birth! :-)
No recording out...yet...double life...maybe someday...
borrow away, and if you need some tabs of my arrangements, let me know! :-)
