@19thSFGA well considering they used this in a movie doesnt prove that they worry that they lost the war or that they have no honnor they just wanted to make a movie or to remember the people knowing that they would die when they left with the yamato.it would be the same as me saying the americans should stop crying about pearl harbour and that they are in a new war and that they should focus more on the war than to make a movie or the aussies to stop whining that they were bombed in ww2

@zergmon9999 It was not a matter of FEAR..... it was more a matter of tactics and logistics.

The cost of JUST MOVILIZING a fleet is much greater than the launching of all those planes. Fuel, food, ammo....... the cost of all that got minimized by sending the planes. Now, a plane is a much faster and hard to hit target to a battleship gunner than another battleship or group of them. Now, the japanese themselves taught americans how to use air superiority to sink surface targets at Pearl Harbour.
