How about asking drivers put down the make-up, cell phones and coffee, turn off the dvd, put out the cigarette and pay attention to driving. That would make me feel safe.
This shows what so-called "pork" is all about. Spending about 1/2 of 1% of the federal budget on sensible measures to reduce traffic congestion, improve safety and promote economic development in troubled regions.
The 13 billion spent on earmarks is about 1% of the total military budget - almost all of which is total waste. The club for growth considers "waste" any money not paid to the corporations they represent.
You know, I'm a fan of the Club for Growth. But this video is not the way to push their agenda. I happen to somewhat agree with Senator Bond, so I may be biased, but if you think that this is unreasonable, let his words stand on their own, or add your own commentary in afterwards.
Great. Dub animal noises over a reasonable discussion of the need for a bike lane to keep cyclists safe. Not creative. Not interesting. Not informative.
What is it? Perhaps the best one can say about this video is that it's sophomoric. (But that might be a slam on sophomores.)

This is the least of the problems in DC
1. Bush doesn't use the veto pen
2. Congress spends money on peanut storage, a bridge to no were, and studying the DNA of bears in Alaska
