What Shield has is wrestling, GSP is not bad himself.

@Angsome i agree with everything but the wrestling. GSP has proved to be one of the best wrestlers in the ufc and Shields barely won a horrible decision to martin kampmann which was a ground battle. So i give the edge to GSP.

I am not sure how aware are you abt Jake's wrestling pedigree;and as I said the edge is only slight, and not enough to even consider.

And now to respond to the fight he had with Kampman,

Point 1 its hard on the body to go up a weight class and then go down to fight at Welterweight. He was just off a victory over Handerson at 185, and then to fight at 170, an elite fighter in Kampman in UFC is not easy.

@WolfmanDan2012 I know GSP dominated, and I knew he would, never doubted him, BUT MMA Math doesn't work like that. Exampe: Lyoto Machida beats Rashad Evans. Rashad Evans beats Rampage Jackson. Rampage Jackson beats Lyoto Machida (watevr your opinionis officially Rampage won) Rampage Jackson beats Chuck Liddell. Chuck Liddell beat Wanderlei Silva. Wanderlei Silva beat Rampage 2 out of 3 times and would win 10-10 in his prime.

Everyone takes Henderson down. Shields was taken down a couple of times by Miller who GSP beatdown. Georges has only been taken down once since the first Koscheck fight (and one reversal by Alves).

@baboegli i was just watching a video of karo parisyan vs gsp which was gsps first fight in the ufc

karo almost subbed him like 5 times all with kimuras

im not saying shields will win

but if he has any chance he will have to take gsp down ( good luck with that ) and either lay on him or hopefully sub him

anything is possible and gsp wont be champ forever

i wanna see gsp fight the spider
