  • I always really liked how Sugiyama uses a Baroque-style of writing for castles in the DQ series.

  • Please, does someone know where I can download Dragon Quest IV soundtrack??

  • He composed this song when he was 61... with this experience made DQ soundtrack incredible!

I like this song the most. it remind me when I'm first played DQ4 and control Ryan to walking around the castle talking to people :D

  • I love the orchestrations, but those real life castle scenes kinda bother me.

  • This is a genius masterwork

  • It's kind of cool how the composer looks like a typical nerd but is able to make music that is memorable.

Guess that goes to show people who bully the nerds. Don't fuck with them; they'll be your boss some day.

  • I need this tape

  • This song makes me feel like I am a medieval noble.

  • @JessicaAlbert13 Isn't it though? The composer did such a great job of orchestrating the music, and the choreography is dynamic and tells the story well while staying within the strict classical idiom. Yeah, I'm a ballet dancer, and a friend of mine who used to dance with me in the National ballet of Canada now dances with Star Dancers, the company who produced the Dragon Quest ballet. I also know the guy who dances the lead in the video, we've worked together in Japan ... Glad you enjoyed!

  • @JeremyNasmith Wow! You know someone who actually does the dances? That's so awesome! And I did find a link to the ballet; it seems to focus mostly on the first three games and wow it is freaking incredible!
