So sad. Houston METRO could have bought these lines for a song, and put a commuter line on it. This would have saved us millions of dollars in construction costs; instead, they decided to widen I-10 to a mega-highway. Really sad.
I distinctly recall tanks being hauled long this line to the Port of Houston, to ship off to Iraq, for the first Gulf War. It really has been a long time.
The MKT is long gone. The Park 10 development is still there. So strange, seeing the two together.
