Irene- dans le noir de la nuit

I wrote this composition "by accident." I did not sit down in front of the piano, thinking that I would compose a new piece. Instead, I gave birth to this piece while procrastinating in the practice room, just a week before finals (not exactly the perfect time to compose).

After much thinking, I'd decided to endow this piece with a French title, which tends to sound more... abstract and artsy in my opinion haha. "Dans le noir de la nuit" simply means "in the dark of the night" in English... To me, this piece conveys some dark, or perhaps even ominous, feelings... Perhaps the piece is depicting the struggling of a person with himself/others... Perhaps the piece simply portrays the mysterious nature of "the evening" and its associations (i.e. darkness, evil things, etc.) Interpret it however you desire...
