Why didn't you mention the mystic forge as the gold sink? The forge is significant in GW2. Also, the PVP side can influence the gold side; this is through paid tournamnets. If you win a paid tournament, you get gems. :)

dungeon items aren't bop. they are account bound

But they do bind to your account once picked up right? :) The important concept is that BoP items cannot be traded on the market.

You forgot to mention that bind on pickup items such as those you get from dungeons can also be salvaged for rare crafting materials such as globs of ectoplasm, which then can be sold for gold
