Remove the Search Bar from IE7 (Internet Explorer 7)

This short (Explained) process provides the ability to Remove the Search Bar from IE7.

The Search bar could be a very convinient way to search straight from the browser. No Doubt, But I should given the option to at least turn it on and off.
Well, that is what this process does, since microsoft does not give us a nice option.

CLick on START, CHoose RUN,and type REGEDIT

Open the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Infodelivery\Restrictions

And create a dword value named "NoSearchBox" and set it to 1. The search box is GONE !.

If the Value is not there, lets create it.

1. Open Notepad
2. Copy paste the following code.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Infodelivery\Restrictions]
"NoSearchBox"=dword:00000001

3. Choose SAVE AS and Give the file a name.
After the name, add the following

.REG

(yes, that is a dot before the reg. INCLUDE IT !!)

4. Double click on file, click Yes and yes..

5. Restart the browser and POOOFFFFFFFFFFF..It is GONE.

i followed this, but i dont have Infodelivery beneath my internet explorer. i placed NoSearchBox in restrictions anyway but it has not worked.

above is how it looks in my registry editor. i asume its because Infodelivery isnt there that it hasnt worked, how can i resolve this? thanks

there is a much simpler way... if you don't want a bar up there at all or like an auto hide search bar up above.. press F11... so simple.. hides the whole upper bar.. put mouse up to top to get it to pop back up.. one button.. save yourself 8minutes ppl ha oh and another way to get rid of the "google" bar.. not search bar... is start, control panel, left colum click classic view then look for add remove programs.. and look for the bar you want to remove that simple..

thanks for the info but it did't work for me, I do not know why, I try righting it but fail, I went to you page and download it and I fail again. I thank you anyway if you have anything else.... heck I buy it , that bing search bar is the most anoying thing ever, is like laughing at me right now . any help you can provide will be much appreciated.
