Make alcohol illegal? It seems that Rep Walsh has forgotton an entire era of American History known as Prohibition, where the use and abuse of alcohol reached its highest ever in in this country. The entire concept of Prohibition is flawed in every way shape or form. Why continously waste tax payer dollars on a drug war that cannot be won and divert those funds to lock up the violent criminals of this country.

Actually few people smoke weed 'to make pain go away' as their prime motivation & it's usually done for enjoyment, but let's say you were shot or something & in the hospital in horrible pain & the doctors offered you a drug of some sort that they felt was safe in order to treat your pain. You would turn it down? Would that make you stronger or foolish? Am I 'weak' for taking tylenol if I have a headache once in a while?

Marijuana is safe so it's a good thing to use in treatment of pain, whereas pharmacuticals are actually more dangerous. Your beliefs are based off of disinformation & propaganda.

Being high makes commiting crimes & doing bad things more intimidating

This guy is right though, one day you're smoking weed casually in your house, the next you're shooting heroin & chopping infants' heads off for fun.

That's what happened to me, one puff and I was chopping kids heads off! It ruined my new clothes, all that blood.

Alcohol related murder and violence drains the economy with more police force,lost retail revenue etc..Legalize marijuana and place MORE restrictions on alcohol!

When you have cancer or any of the illness or pain that my friends have, you will be weak if you take medicine for the pain? Are you ok, shaggy? Bob Marley had a positive effect on the world. Can you say the same? I can say that I am positive and I know many others would vouch for that.
