this is a small clip about how to make a vehicle in google sketchup and the sketchy physics plugin.

i am not a pro (jet). so i only use scale, move and copy-paste.. nothing special, easy to copy by viewing it i think.

i cut all the mistakes out..letz say almost all of them ;)

as soon as i am fast and good enough i am gooing to explain my way of working to you.

hope you n-joy it anyway. this is not a tutorial.

  • 0:35 - something like a symetry modifier (?) how did you do that? i mean that the other part was changing the same way you were editing the first part .. pls help, that can be very useful

  • hi, i mention it in my tutorial "the basic tools".

u create a "component". it appears in your libary and you can use it as often as u like.

    in my version:

    - activate your object

    - check the right-mouse-button-menu or hit "g"

  • i have sketchup6 but how to get the sketchyphysics

  • Sweet!!! I've been using sketchup since version 3 and am not as good as that!!

  • oh... how I wish google sketchup could be used under linux (without the use of Wine).

anyhow, that's completly unrelated with this video, just some frustration of mine.

about the vid: Is this made in sketchup pro? and you might not be pro, but you've got good insights into 3D enviroment and you're patient enough to make something like this. kudos to you.

anyway, I am entertained by watching this and motivated for trying it myself

  • I just started using sketchup. I am blown away by what it can do. Really awesome job!
