I like starting my tomatoes from seed because I can grow more variety. My favorite is the Cherokee Purple heirloom. Here's a tip for growing tomatoes...when transplanting, plant the soil up to within 2 inches of the lowest set of leaves. The tomato plant will form more roots from the stalk you've covered, and form a stronger stalk as well as have the opportunity to get more nutrients from the soil.

Hi John,
Is rock dust and rock phosphate the same. I went to my local farm supply and they don't know what rock dust is. So I bought rock phosphate instead.
