I live just outside of Philadelphia PA. Not really a cold climate all the time, but a few times a year it gets pretty bitter. This video doesn't show it, but sometimes it runs really rough (close to stalling) for about 20-30 seconds when it's super cold out.

It's just the type of oil you use. I live in Austria where it's hot in summer and cold in winter and my mx5/miata starts well in winter. It's running a bit rough the first seconds after starting if it's very cold. Read your cars manual, there's a table showing different oil types (SAE-viscosity) over ambient temperature. If you choose the right one the car starts easy in winter, if not it's as you've shown in the video - the oil is too ductile at this temperature, so the allocation isn't ok.

Actually it started the rough idling (when cold) after I installed Toyota Supra injectors, they were cheap and are not really the perfect solution, but it keeps it from going lean under full boost.

It's a 1995 so it has that shit 'go/no go' oil gauge, so to answer you question, I have no idea. I just put new pistons in the motor I melted a few years ago, and will soon swap it in.
