We tested these back to back with Tait TP9100 P25 units recently. We chose the Tait units - much better voice quality and background noise suppression. Thanks for the video.

@gezelle007 If you're talking about the amount of MDC1200 alerts sent..it's basically just there to ensure high availability that the signal is received.

@gezelle007 he dosent have the radio ack back. Typically reserved for consoles.

The radio will only "alert" to an emergency signal every 30 seconds. The radios are programmable as to how many signals it will send when the button is pressed though.
It sends a digital ID signal that shows the unit currently transmitting to others and dispatch on their radio or console screens the unit ID unit.It works similar to caller ID except for radios.

@martian133 MDC1200- AKA Stat-Alert, it is a 1200 bit per second digital signaling method which has been specifically designed for high reliability in the land-mobile radio environment.
