ha, knew immediately that wasnt the bamboo. Ive hiked virtually all known trailheads on the west and south part of maui, and a shitload on the other parts... those bamboo have far too many leaves to make the classic lovely marimba sounds few have the pleasure of ever hearing in life. ive hiked forests in north america as well, yet there really is something alien about the those Hawaiian jungles. i miss my ranger days damnit
