Agreed, it is not figurative, but literal and it is future and it is eternal.

The argument is that how could man's finite number of sins committed during his life warrant an eternal punishment, but this belies a faulty understanding of the holiness of God and the infinite price that Christ paid on the cross to make atonement for the sins of His people. It truly diminishes the value of Christ's sacrifice. In other words, it's blasphemy!

    Agreed

The Bible does not teach that people are burning now, but the Bible does teach, people will burn on the great day of Judgment.

AND WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOUND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE. Rev 20:15.

  • @Lrothtube

2Pe 3:5-7 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: BUT THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH, WHICH ARE NOW, BY THE SAME WORD ARE KEPT IN STORE, RESERVED UNTO FIRE AGAINST THE DAY OF JUDGMENT AND PERDITION OF UNGODLY MEN.

I don't believe in purgatory, but i believe God is coming back with fire instead of a flood.

  • O.K., thanks. I'll just go ahead and rip Rev. 20 out of my bible now.

  • @Bill244888 Because in Greek "hell" does not mean the same as it is represented in the english, where Greek & Hebrews definition is meant to be grave, or pit, or death, hades & sheol, the english have used "hell" as a definition of an eternal torture chamber & this WAS NOT the original communication penned by Holy inspiration. Google...What-the-Hell-is-Hell for more information, this is a GOOD START, to many places to name, bc there are so many sites that refute this false doctrine.

  • @Lrothtube

How does the fact the greek and english do not use identical words somehow turn into a "MISTRANSLATION" as you so eloquently typed in your best CAPITALIZATION?

  • @Lrothtube

Did He send you an e-mail?

  • @Bill244888 So right there it doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out that if there has been a MISTRANSLATION, then we need to go back to original text & find out the TRUTH AND not some man-made pagan tradition passed down, "hell" if used at all should be used to translate Hades, Sheol which represents death or the grave...NOTHING ELSE!!!!

  • @Bill244888 Oh thank you, now we are getting somewhere, you have proved my point...THERE IS NO WAY JESUS COULD HAVE USED THIS WORD BECAUSE IT IS AN ENGLISH WORD AND JESUS DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. I am at complete peace with the revelation that Jesus Christ has shared with me & others about the FACT that there is no "eternal torture chamber", and this is what I KNOW & this is what I WILL SHARE, the GOOD NEWS with others, if you want to keep preaching that doctrine of demons thats on YOU!!!
