1. If this wall was intended to keep American "infiltrators" out. And not your people in, then why was getting out of East Germany a life threatening adventure. Why not just walk through the gate?

2. You honestly believe that a wall, A WALL is going to keep the CIA out. Who ever came up with the comical explanation that we should use a wall to keep the CIA out, is either idoitic beyond belief or LYING TO YOU.

1- It wasn't, but spies, criminals, etc attempted to cross the border illegally, some 136 were shot in 40 years.

2- At the time, yes, the wall was a symbol and statement as well as a real barrier.
