Played at the 2005 New Conservatory of Music (NCM) Festival held at UTSC
I played this piece in the Age of Achievement category of 16 years. I was rewarded 1st place along with a $1000 scholarship.
Looking back Im pleased with my performance even though there are some obvious mistakes. The pace with the descending triplets at 2:00 could have been done faster. A little less pedal. The though ending as always, is fun to play.
This piece is not too technically challenging but there are musical aspects that need to be addressed (important emphasis of the melodies, which I didnt do properly in this video). This piece also requires a lot of stamina It may only last 7 minutes but the majority of the time the piece is played +forte with emphasis, strength and clarity.
