Gear // Gary Brawer's PLEK Machine!

I shot this video whilst visiting Gary Brawers Guitar Repair store in SF. (www.brawer.com) - My guitar had gone through this treatment earlier that day. It stays on there for 2 hours! The result is by the far the most in tune playable my guitar has EVER been! I was blown away. Gary did a great job on the setup. The machines is a sight to behold.

It's also expensive, and only 10 places in the US have this equipment!

Gary has worked on numerous famous guitar players gear like Satriani, Counting Crows, Santana and Lincoln Brewster!

how much does it cost to do a basic set up with gary? does he take anyone or only famous clients?

Gary is very reasonable in my opinion and no he doesn't only take famous clients. Stop by his store and speak to the guys there. It's a lot of fun!

@aicfuel He takes anyone who is cool ;-) Go check it out, he is a great guy. Pricing is pretty decent. I don't remember what he charged but it was pretty standard for the amount of work done and my guitar never played so well after Gary worked on it! Seriously it was FANTASTIC! Worth EVERY penny!

How long of a turnaround was it to get your guitar PLEKed? If it takes 2 hours, why am I hearing that it takes weeks or months to get your guitar back?!

There is a long line of people who want their guitars to be PLEK'ed but it also requires a manual setup afterwards. The whole process isn't completely automated. It is definitely worth the wait, your guitar will play like never before.

Gary Brawer has got to be one of the coolest guys I have ever met in this business. Real Guitars is my favorite store in SF, they always have a great inventory of used guitars and vintage amps. Check 'em out people.
