  • Oh, great, another video where assholes in the comments argue about whose taste is 'better', and the rest of us get pissed off.

  • This sounds an awful lot like the Harry Potter theme in its general structure. Wonder if the HP composer borrowed from Faure.

  • so many movie composers these days IDOLIZE people like Wagner, Debussy, and Faure. Lord of the rings, world of warcraft, harry potter; they all sound similar.

  • @msgreengenes I think you're being slightly mislead simply by the fact there is a flute in it. Structure is quite different.

  • @RingoStarrMcGregor GOOD

    LUCK

  • I'm going to play this song for a contest....WISH ME LUCK! :D ♥

  • I feel you TwilightPixie. I played for years and took private lessons, music classes, anything I could...then my instructors wanted me to take my level exams and I didn't want to for competitive reasons, and I was starting to get bored with it. One of the biggest regrets I have and one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. The Flute is a beautiful instrument; it's sound is just so heavenly and light.

  • can anyone tell me a good original pressing LP record that is available for this song in particular? older the better :) am looking for flute & harp, not piano as it was originally written for. . .

  • the inspiration for voices from macross plus :)

  • I wish to God I hadn't given up the flute.

  • This resplendent piece has always reminded me of a French or English knight riding along a lonely stretch of road with dusk approaching. It also brings to mind the art of Vincent Van Gogh (and the film, Lust For Life). The harp gives this version a very Heavenly tone. Superb!

  • @msgreengenes Nice catch my friend! The HP theme definitely sounds like this in some aspects. Williams used quite similar tensions and cadences as Faure did in this.
