These arguments are exactly why I don't think the ad should air. Even if, logically, Tebow and his mom are just explaining the choice she made, people are still going to be greatly put off. Why give people another thing to argue about, along with "Who took the last beer?" and "FALSE START! LOOK IT! REVIEW THE PLAY REF OR I WILL PUNCH YOU THROUGH THE TV"
@manoloaholic I see your frustration, no man should even speak about an experience he will never experience. That is like Tim Tebow talking about why you should be a virgin and not have sex. (Btw, I applaud Tebow) You can not put yourself in someone elses shoes unless you have worn them & even then its ur story & personal experience not theirs so be open-minded. The best way to enlighten another is to begin with kindness and respect to others views. Maybe we will find that ground.
@LadyAmaltheaUnicorn Why has Pro-Choice has turned into Pro-Death? In many states women are forced to sit down with adoption agencies, a forced ultra-sound, forced vaginal probing, and deal with Pro-Life protestors on top of the situation. Unwanted prenancies come from a long list of reasons such as health, rape, teen, uneducated, or abusive relationships to no relationship. I would seriously doubt anyone who has had to make the tough choice of aborting would enjoy it but we must have choice!
I have to say as a pro-choice advocate I completely agree with this guy. Pro-life advocates should be open to share their experiences of their own stories and the reason that made that CHOICE FOR LIFE! That's the reason I am pro-choice. Listen, only a woman or very young lady who has been in her situation can make the choice for herself what to do with a pregnancy because it IS HER body. The pros & cons can be argued everyway from each side but it is her choice & that should always be her right.
the simple fact is that it doesn't matter how the pregnancy occurred; nobody has the right to force a human being to use their body as substance for another human life, in the same sense that we don't force organ or blood donation we don't tell a woman she should be forced to continue using her body to incubate and birth a fetus
Outlawing would not equal the same amount of abortions but just underground. Abortions have risen since Rowe vs Wade was passed in 1973. Your argument has no grounds since there are few records of abortion before 73. What is more likely to happen, as illegal abortion is dangerous, is people keeping their babies... Hmm maybe people will then learn to be responsible or face consequences.
- Also, ~95% of abortions are elective. Abortion should only be reserved for rape/incest/health problems
WOW! Great point starting at 2:28 and continuing to the end. WOW!
