Experiments in Typography

Martin had us choose a letter and a material, and experiment with them together. I chose "S" and oil. These are later sketches.

It's all stop-motion. There's a glass plate, on top of which I poured ink. The reaction of the ink on the glass was to contract, so I would "pull" some ink in a shape, and capture it's contraction with multiple still shots.
