And people wanted someone like Arnold.Let me tell you I saw this guy and I was the only one who didnt bitch about the choice for lead role.Lets face it Arnold is a great actor and he made Predator.But no soldier in the navy,in the marines,or in the army looks like he used to look.

@jogowing i see why you would say that but i highly doubt it. royce in this didnt sound like bale at all. when he yells yes but he talks like a weathered and tested raspy soldier. that was his part. dark knight he talked in a low and slightly sinister and commanding voice with a hint of mischievousness.

Brody is a brilliant dramatic actor, but he ain't no action hero! I enjoyed Predators much more than any other Predators sequel, but it at times feel too much like an inferior remake to the original! Brody looked more like a muscled up Mr Bean than a tough looking bastard like Arnold schwarzenegger!

yakuza guy was ok i guess. and dont forget,these were not just meant to be badass but THE MOST BADASS ON PLANET EARTH!!!fail as far as casting...i still enjoyed the movie though lol

@peckerdecker i agree with that man, the movie would have been ok even with brody in it IF most of the other characters were even slightly rough or intimidating. given brodys natural looks-he did as good a job as is possible..but the girl?more like mother teresa with a rifle than a cold tough one-of-the-most-dangerous-on-t­he-planet killer. the russian?more like the fat kid we used to bully at school.mexican-rough looking but boring and typical. black dude-too nervous.

i watched Predators very carefully over two days

this film is flat and dull because you have hard men and woman stereotypes played by people who are NOT good at portraying the hard man, or killer, rapist etc

none of the actors seemed to be tough or nasty or hard.

maybe its the script to blame and not the actors?
