Concrete Cruise (Funny Architecture)

Architecture can be very funny. Here is an exmple. The cruise in the video shows is a shopping mall complex that is built with cement and concrete. It really look like a real cruise.

This concrete cruise near my company. Originally, it is the a 100 years old ship dock (Whampo and Kowloon Ship Dock) for oversea ship repairments. In 1980s, it was turned into a housing garden, shopping mall and entertainment complex.

The preserved cannon in this video is left by the British navy. It was found during the construction. Other antiques, such as WWII bombs and anchors, are found during the construction. Some marine object of the ship dock are still remain for display to public.

The seagulls will no be confused because it is not moving, and the water around the sea do not have fish. The seagulls will not waste to fly around a place that has no food to eat.

However, human may be confused because it is quiet detailed.

I like the music :) And I also love to ride a boat in the sea. When I travel on a ship, I cinda get the same travel feeling when I travel by an aeroplane :)

It is a total cement ship. If it is at the ocean, it will sink at once.

Just a bit more detail.

The construction company thought that the soil of this site is too soil. They could hardly build high building in 1980s. Thus, they built the shopping mall complex underground.

Actuallyu, it was not a bad idea. this design attracts many tourist and shoppers.
