please do a bass demo video. I saw your green russian muff video. I own a green big muff but have heard good things about the rat. Im consitering picking up a used new rat or the whiteface reissue. There are no bass clips of a whiteface rat original or the reissue.

I love the older rats! I just bought a 1985 rat for $234.00 and i can't wait until it arrives.I have had too many pedals to list and i always come back to the rat.

Nice demo, perfect playing, I'm gonna try to grab one on the bay. Thank you.

Shocking filmography.

Hey dude, this is by far one of the best guitar effect pedal reviews I have stumbled across (I've seen a LOT).. Because you really show so many nuances of this pedal. THis helped me 100% to knowing that I really need this pedal, but that it's not the one I'm looking for right now. THANX!

Thanks for the great "DOOM" style demo! This was great to show that side of this pedal. I'm sure that the LP helps to get that Pentagram sound also.
-
If i was to ever say that a pedal sounded "evil", it would have to be this one. Great playing, btw.

cool drive sound, noiseless !

@EmperorSheepy Thank you sir! I don't know what I would do without the Devils interval. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Cheers.
-
You sound like Tony Iommi! Huge respect!
-
Sounds great, somewhat like a Civil War era Russian Big Muff.

@SexyFuckingBeast1 No I haven't, But I think the circuit is the same. You could try a General Guitar Gadgets kit. I'm not sure if it comes with the Lm308 chip, but you could buy one separately and pop it in. It would be a lot cheaper than buying an original or the reissue. You do need a soldering iron, but that's really all you need to build one.

The more I watch this video, the angrier I get.
-
Have you tried the reissue RATs? If so how do they compare? Thanks!!

@DeadTechnology5000 Dang it. I was looking for something to take me to 1982.
Volume always cranked. Seriously?

@framus90 Yeah, it doesn't really provide much boost.

@DeadTechnology5000 Thanx for the advice! I may be selling my Rat to finance a Wampler Paisley Overdrive. What do you think about Ebaying it?

@spider62able There are a couple of 80s Rats for auction on Ebay now. You should watch them and see how high they go. I got about 200$ for mine on Ebay, I might have got more if the battery door wasn't missing. I saw one go for 300$, but it came with the original box and instructions.

@DeadTechnology5000 I have an 80s Rat like your's and Im' thinking of having Keeley mod it. What's your experience in regards to modifying the Rat?Great demo by the way!

@spider62able Hello. Glad you enjoyed the demo! I wouldn't recommend modifying your 80s Rat. They are somewhat collectable and I think they sound pretty good stock. I would buy a newer Rat and modify that. Just make sure it was made before 2008 because they started using surface mount components in 2008 (I think). You could always try doing it your self. It's a really simple circuit and there is a ton of info on the web to help you out.
