MARTY MARKOWITZ CONDEMNS GUNMEN THAT SHOT AN NYPD OFFICER

An off duty New York City police officer was shot in the right arm and hand while turning into a McDonald's parking lot.

The 38-year-old officer is assigned to the medical division and works out of the 75th pct and was in a mcDonalds parking lot and was about to exit her car and use an ATM when the bullets started hitting her car and was shot in the process late Monday afternoon.
"She was still in the car and about to get out when she was hit from across the street" police sources said. Police say a group of teenage males fired in her direction. She was not believed to be the target.

The investigation is continuing.
