The Choir of King's College, Cambridge, sing Duruflé's famous setting of 'Ubi Caritas' at the televised version of the Carols from Kings. I believe it was recorded between 2000-2002.

  • @jpow890 Errrrr..no. The Cambridge Singers are a chamber choir associated more with the university. King's College Choir is made up of a boy's choir from the associated school, lay clerks (male voices) from Cambridge, and choral scholars who are at the college.

  • @BearAZ Agree. Beautiful, but I'd like to hear them do more with their pauses.

  • Personally, I think they could notch down the tempo one more small increment - just so it "doesn't get there" quite so fast. If the flow (which they excel in) and the phrasing (which is gorgeous) remains as polished as this, it would be even more radiant. Perhaps like a gorgeous, luminous sunset you want to last just a bit longer.

  • Mu music teach is teaching u this song but a different melody

  • @MsJmckenney You mean King's College, Cambridge? Because that's this group....

  • I don't agree. A bit slower is better-check out the Cambridge Singers. Most importantly it needs to flow. But the beautiful individual lines would get lost in a faster version. If you're doing it for a choir anthem it won't last for the offering-hah, a practical issue LOL.

  • @magdluke Agreed

  • Durufle wrote each of these notes to perfection.

Best piece of Choral music Ever.

  • Listening to this beautiful piece bring peace to one's soul!

  • I just love that final bass note
