These days it sounds unimaginable--married 40 years or more! Two bachelors set out on a trip across America to interview couples who've been married 40 years or more--to find out their secrets for a happy, longlasting relationship. Mathew Boggs and Jason Miller are authors of "Project Everlasting."

  • the reason people didn't used to get divorced as much is because of the social stigma that came with divorce, they will be lots of people who will stay happily married in the future. but there will be less unhappy marriages. it is a win win situation for everyone.

  • Because they talk about feelings and love, they are gay?? Grow up people. More guys should be like them.

  • Gay or straight, the principles of relationship are exactly the same and NOT gender specific. You can focus on the question of their sexual orientation, or you can get something richer for your own life and relationships. . .or not. If two guys can't be best friends without getting these kinds of comments, the state of our society is deeply flawed. BTW, no one's gaydar is 100% accurate..

  • Seriously they should get married to each other! that will be everlasting lol :)

  • No offence ment, but simply ears and eyes sometimes work better than that. Ears: Mat mentions a GIRLfriend (at about 2:00); eyes: I've read their book, and they are both absolutely straight. The book is great, and it's really useful even in you're not married, just have a serious partner.

  • The original poster has something you apparently don't have: "gaydar."

  • Actually, they're not a gay couple, just best friends who were trying to find the secrets to a good marriage before they found the right girl.

  • What sickens me about this clip is that they're going around interviewing couples who've done something that these guys, themselves, are not legally allowed to do, and that's pretty screwed up/not fair to them!

On the other hand, maybe they were doing the interviews to gain insight into what to look for when they do gain the legal right to get married so that they will stay married-happily!
