Would you suggest getting this casing over those cheaper back casing ones? Like gelli and all those out there in the market?

I feel like the price isn't worth it coz the protection seems very minimal.

@kny4eva I don't buy unbranded cases, I've used some before and they seem ok - but I prefer buying from a seller that will provide warranty and similar quality of products through branding. Sometimes unbranded/branded cases are the same exact product, but I'd still pay extra for the branded model. Otterbox cases are one of a kind, but if you don't need the protection, go for some others.

I have a totally different galaxy. What's up with that! The sales slip says Galaxy sII X. The case you have seems common and is for sale all over the net but it is definitely not for my phone. Weird.

@damocles2002 You have the Rogers version I believe, which has a 4.5 inch screen and the camera cutout is different.

@manewnick I've been using the casemate barely there case for a month and on the second drop my galaxy s2 lte screen shattered. I would not recommend it.

I feel these protective cases are a rip off. They're exspensive, and they don't work. I've had 2 smart phones that were broken while in cases because they fell on the screen which was unprotected even though it was supposed to be protected.

You mention something about Otterbox coming out with a "Defender Series" case.

That would be a preferable case for me, but there's still no mention of it...

Will it be happening anytime soon? Or at all? :p
