My Newfy loved cats. When the cats were kittens, he would lie down and let then crawl all over him playing, and then get sleepy and curl up with him. I never taught him any behaviors regarding cats, he just was so sweet and gentle with them. When he died, the cats did not eat for three days. It was reallly touching, and they still go to the place on the land where he is buried and hang out. Maybe its a good mouse area, but I think otherwise.
