  • so all x values are vertical and all y are horizontal?

  • @503JAYr Typically the other way around. X is usually horizontal and Y vertical.

  • which way does the line go if its undefined?

  • I think you are asking about the slope. The slope of a vertical line is said to be "undefined", so if the slope is "undefined", then it is a vertical line.

    Sometimes a vertical line is said to have a slope of infinity, which also makes sense.

    If the slope is zero, then it is a horizontal line.
