What started out as a simple statue placement in a private garden overlooking San Francisco Bay evolved into an amazing, extensive, unique work of urban art.
Open space and art-appreciative homeowners Vern and Jeanne Doellstedt liked the work of concrete artist Victor Amador and commissioned him to do more and more to create the magnificent garden at the end of Grandview Court, just across the street from Michael Zwerling's home at 607 Grandview Court in Point Richmond, CA.
So unusual and special is this garden that it was featured as a news story on Oakland-San Francisco tv station KTVU Channel Two's 5 O'Clock and 10 O'clock News programs on July 14, 2008.

We looked into staying a month at MZ's house, unfortunatly he didn 't think a toddler staying there would be safe. In any case, I drove on this street today and saw an enterance to your home. What was odd, I looked up "Pt. Richmond" and found this clip. Needless to say, my toddler, husband and I would love to come see your garden. We are staying in Pt Richmond for a month while my husband works at Vertigo. We are residents from S. Reno Nevada. :) Howdy and can't wait to see it.
