This video is a simple screencast showing how Raphael was used to create an animated train on light rail tracks in Phoenix, Arizona. The train moves in real-time based on mathematical equations that crunch it's overall schedule, then plot the course of our train icon. The app is part of CityCircles, a 2009 Knight Foundation News Challenge project that creates publishing tools for hyperlocal communities. Our first implementation was for the Phoenix light rail community. This demo is being shared with the online community to advance open-source software.
