Alan Merrill singing "Walk Away Renee" with Tom Finn and George Cameron of The Left Banke. 3-24-2011 in a Red Cross benefit concert for relief for Japan's tsunami victims. The show was held at The Bowery Electric in lower Manhattan, NYC.
The song was a huge hit in 1966 for The Left Banke and is an enduring timeless rock classic.
The event was organized by Sean Yox.
Clip trivia: The trio had no sound check or rehearsal. They just went on stage and performed the song about 10 minutes after arriving at the club. It was the first time they'd ever sung the song together on stage. Remarkable really.

  • Fantastic video. Great job getting this up on you tube. Thanks!

  • @bootcords I'm glad you like it !!!

  • Just a quick observation. I don't know if it's because he's playing guitar and talking at the same time but at the start of the clip the rhythm of Alan Merrill's speech sounds a bit like actor Christopher Walken!

  • @bbsteviebb- LOL!

Alan Merrill-

  • No sound check, no rehearsal, from the street straight on to the stage! I loved it!
