The currency here is buffalo nickels but ironically, in the late 1800's, buffalo nickels didn't exist, shield nickels (made from 1866 to 1883) and liberty head nickels (made from 1883 to 1912) did. Buffalo nickels didn't come about until 1913 and they lasted until 1938, when the Jefferson nickels came out. Still, nothing says "Old West" like buffalo nickels do.
