Let me ask you a question: how important is the wear on the record when used in a jukebox? I ask this because I have hundreds of great records (78 and 45) that have been well played and wonder if they would be good for a jukebox.

you did awesome rework on this jukebox.good sound and right song to play :)

Still love this tune no matter how many times I hear it. Thanks for the 78 version.

very cool

@gjamieson78 Read the owner's description above. The tone arm has been reworked. Like you, I also thought these "lollipop" tone arms were very heavy, not knowing there are ways to lighten the tracking weight.

it's still pretty crazy putting a good record in a jukebox. I own several Wurlitzers and i'd never put a good record in one. Nothing sounds like an original, though ;)

Hi, thanks for the valid comment but there are 2 things to consider here: First, this is a well used copy I got cheap. Secondly, the tonearm was completely re-done, rubbers replaced, sapphire needle added along with ultra light setting of tone arm and re-wired volume control. Even a mint record played shows very little wear after time. Even so, I wouldn't put a rare one on this machine but nothing beats this sound when it's done right! Thanks, though as others probably asked the same question.

Thanks for the thumbs up..this is one of my favorite Elvis early recordings and it sounds GREAT on this original pickup/volume control/tubes set-up! Most people don't realize the vast difference using original magnetic pickup, but with a sapphire 3 mil. needle and adjusted (lighter) tone arm, REALLY minimizing record wear. Even visually inspected "VG-" graded discs with scratches sound awesome, with very little audible distractions.

@agfamatic91 This is a classic Wurlitzer 1015 "bubbler" from 1946...almost completely restored...still working on the front "Star" in grille and side mirrors..have two other 1015's, one fully restored and the other awaiting restoration.
