Brian Becker Protests Israeli Aggression

On Aug. 12, 2006, a huge rally was held in Lafayette Park, in Washington, D.C. Its purpose was to protest Israeli aggression in Occupied Gaza and Lebanon. One of the speakers was Brian Becker, Director of the ANSWER Coalition.

You are very correct about that, but without people who are educated in theory and practice, dedicated, and far seeing the revolution will very much peeter out or be coopted by right wing opportunists.

How do you expect to coordinate the month to month or year to year goings on of an advanced economy soley on the basis of direct democracy? Why couldn't councils beholden to immediate recall work? Participatory Economics has a viable coordination system built on councils you should check it out.

...for the people meaning no leaders or authoritarian council but preferably consensus based meetings and if need be an emergency council elected by a consensus based meeting or some proper form of direct democracy. But usually a riot which can turn into a revolution is trigged by an event not by a leader and can be random and spontaneous but eventually take some form but as a collective. As far as revolution you can coordinate a revolution but doing so with leaders and authority is not a real revolution but fascism it is how hitler took power he started a revolution and declared himself authority and got people on his side revolting with him but with him as the leader. Real revolution is by the people as the people...

I never attacked you ad hominem, I was atttacking ANSWER if you want to take that as an attack on you than go ahead I won't lose sleep over it. ANSWER is hated by a lot of people on the left and you should dump them and find a real communist group not dictator supporting nuts who will latch themselves onto any movement and ruin it.

If you don't know, someone should tell you your information is wrong. I don't go into left wing parties too dismantle them, I joined up with ANSWER because at the time they invited me too come to meetings and get involved and I was younger and more immature at the time and stupidly joined. I have fought with some socialists who believe in authoritarianism and supporting violent dictators but I have many socialist friends who are anti authoritarian and do not support dictators.

If you don't know, someone should tell you anarchist have a tendency of joining left wing political parties and clubs for the purpose of dismantling them and have historically fought with socialists and attacked them for maintaining "statism," that is daring to coordinate revolution via anything other than spontaneity.

They are also ineffective and do nothing to stop the war or racism or anything they claim to be about. They have also attacked my friends and prevented them from marching because they did not fall lock step with the answer goons. Not only that but in the past ANSWER called police on protesters (most notably anarchists) if not using the state's police they use their own thugs and goons. Their version of communism is oppressive and authoritarian something I cannot get behind.

Ahhh...I get it you have been indoctrinated into the cult. ANSWER is authoritarian, supports murderous dictators, puts a burden on other communities and activists with no respect attached, they have also assaulted me for standing up for APOC (anarchist anti authoritarian autonomous people of color) they have also said things that were supportive of racism and racists and terrorist groups (not groups on the left who are called terrorist by the terrorist government but those who kill for fear)
