Global warming is lighting a fire on todays campuses, and this weekend thousands of students will come to D.C. to rally, lobby, and get arrested for a clean energy economy. Except that in the last 20 years the amount of people employed by the coal companies went from 150 thousand to 15 thousand. That's a 90% cut in work force. Now, I would be a supporter of coal companies if they would employ enough workers and if they would let those workers organize. Instead, they bust unions and leave hundreds of thousands of people out of work and hundreds of thousands if not millions more in the way of dangerous coal dust, all the while polluting air and water. Down with coal.
