@777Rayman777 Actually, it should have been longer.

@777Rayman777 Still sounds pretty close. Only Neil Himself can master it.

Firstly I speak as a Rush fanatic. Secondly I speak as a Paul Gilbert fan too, so I'm not going to slag this performance off. I think it's great - the bass fills could be a little more stylistic, the notes are the same but there's no 'grunt' which Geddy has loads of, ALMOST too much top and distortion. The Bass sound is too clean and not really aggressive enough for me. Portnoy has learnt that solo pretty well enough for me though, and PG - well he owns anything he has ever played on!!

why is he not doing the fast bass kicks? is it too hard without double bass, mike?
-
No, the solo is from Exit Stage Left.

solo from all the worlds a stage bonehead!

^ Description is slightly misleading. Should say drum solo by Mike Portnoy. Includes YYZ Rush cover song.
PS: I'm not saying Portnoy ruined it, just that the solo could have been shorter.
Everybody getting upset with Portnoy is simply a mong.
He's paying tribute to the greatest drummer the world has ever seen.
He is a fan of Neil like us, he's just really fucking good at drums too.
