Keeping with the comedy theme, we move on to Kuishinbo Kamen's arch rival, the man known simply as Ebessan. As with Kamen, Ebessan competed under his real name for the FMW promotion, actually winning the Barbed Wire Streetfight Six Man Tag Team Titles alongside Atsushi Onita and various third men. He even appeared for XPW alongside Nosawa before returning to Japan, and began competing as Ebessan, a character patterned after Ebizu, the Japanese God of Good Fortune. It was here that he would begin to acheive his greatest of successes, and would begin his long standing rivalry with Kuishinbo Kamen. The two even met in February of 2003 on Osaka's biggest show in their short history, facing off in a 2/3 Falls Match. The two would also travel to the states, competing for TNA, and more famously, PWG. In 2005, Ebessan once again traveled to the states to compete in CHIKARA's Tag World Grand Prix alongside Billy Ken Kidd. The duo defeated Super Dragon & B-Boy(who destroyed Ken the Box earlier in the night) enroute to a semi-final loss. CZW's Best of the Best 5 tournament, besting Nate Webb in round one, but falling to B-Boy in round two. Since then, Ebessan has competed moreso under the name of Kikutaro. Keeping the comedy strong, he has gone on to wrestle as several spinoffs of the Kikutaro character, such as Ebetus Jack(a parody of Cactus Jack), as well as Kiku-Kiku-Kiku(HHH), and perhaps most famous of all, Ebestan Hansen(Stan Hansen). Recently, he competed as Bret Kikuhart against Shawn Antonio Honda Michaels, in Osaka's representation of the ever so infamous Montreal Screwjob. Ebessan's character is heavily influenced by comedic elements. However, that doesn't mean that he can't get it done in the ring. He possesses one of the most high risk dives to the floor you'll ever see in wrestling, as well as the fearsome Shining Ebezard and the Ebizu Otoshi. The Kaiun Tornado is rarely survived.
