When Sarath Fonseka was the Army Commander for 4 years, more than 600 of Army men & women were court martialed by him and they were treated like dirt..
More than 200 cases were filed against him in the Supreme Court & in the High Courts by soldiers and officers challenging his atrocities and he has failed to act in almost all cases according to the Supreme Court judgements. 40 cases arestill pending against him in the High Courts as well as in the Supreme Court. .

Even during the war his major specialties were alcoholism, womanising, telephone sex, corruption, fighting with officers, brutalism on cooks and waiters and subordinates, sacrificing soldiers to LTTE. Intermittently he has served as a killing machine and a yelling machine while Gotabaya and and other capable officers ran the war.
