http://www.elkandelk.com - We keep hearing about tough economic times, but corporate profits and the salaries of CEOs keep getting higher and higher. Sometimes, in order to line their own pockets, companies fire their older, long-term employees and replace them with younger, cheaper employees. If you think you were a victim of age discrimination, call 1-800 ELK OHIO. Let our team work for you. Elk & Elk. Serious Lawyers for Serious Injuries.

If you have been discriminated at work or injured or lost a loved one to a job related accident you need to know if the Workers' Compensation program can help you and whether the law allows for any other way to take care of you and your family.

  • The most common excuse they use for not hiring well-qualified older (40+) is the "you're overqualified". This should be ILLEGAL. A company should never be able to disqualify a person who has the necessary skills. They should give that person equal opportunity for the position. If that person is willing to work for the pay offered, then they should have the same opportunity to fill the position.
